The Demon Design Ultra is a dedicated race sail for the popular Team 15 fleet.
The design is ULTRA lightweight and ULTRA tall which makes it devestatingly quick around the race course.
The racing success's speak for themselves with these sails, quite simply, they have been used to win every major team 15 race going, and quite a few of the not so major ones too!
The design is a 5 battened, 4 cam’d variable geometry foil, it uses a mix of Bainbridge Diax and SL laminates. These are some of the best sail cloths going, giving a very good balance between weight, stiffness and longevity. Sails made with these materials often last over 7 years of hard use (but not abuse!).
Practically this translates into an adjustable sail that can be set up with a constantly cambered tight leech. Then as the wind increases, and with the application of down and outhaul, the sail changes progressively to a flat moderately loose leeched easy blaster.
One of the overiding design goals of this sail was the ability to get a board up on the rail as soon as possible, this ability leads to devestating upwind capabilities and is one of the things that sets these sails apart from the crowd

There isn’t another sail on the market that can get close to the Ultra for racing performance.... they do try though..... bless-em!
The sails are built strictly to order. This means if you are particularly light or taller than average we can alter things like the clew height and C of G of the sail to suit.
